Project DescriptionThe Australian Government has committed $1.5 million under Round Two of the program over 2010-11 and 2011-12 for ten advance warning sign projects off the National Network. Each project involves an advance warning sign and stop sign at both approaches (four pieces of Intelligent Transport System equipment) at each section of constrained alignment with less than 60 km/h sight stopping distance. BenefitsThe projects will improve safety on Tasmania’s High Productivity Routes by providing warning systems on constrained alignments. FundingThe Australian Government has committed $1.5 million to these projects. TimetableWork is expected to commence in late 2010 and be completed in late 2011.
