Welcome to the Nation Building Program and Mapping Service
The Department of Infrastructure and Transport is investing in road and rail infrastructure through the Nation Building Program.
The Nation Building Program is delivering this investment through a range of road and rail programs and projects across the National Land Transport Network.
The network is based on national and inter-regional land transport corridors that are of critical importance to national and regional growth.
This interactive map will allow you to track the Nation Building Program’s current project activities across the country.
Displaying Projects. You can view the projects the department is involved in by entering an address, selecting a council or project by name.
Depending on your selection a list of projects will also be displayed below the map.
Projects can be a road section or a location. You will see a range of icons on the map which represent the various projects the department is involved in.
Projects are grouped if they are located near to each other. To see the projects in the map individually uncheck the “Group Features” from the left panel.
This option may slow down the map refresh if viewing a large area. We recommend that you only view the projects in the map individually when viewing small areas.
As you zoom in, more individual projects will show. Click a project point/line to see the project detail.
Click a group symbol showing < 10 projects, click again on the flare symbol to see the project detail. Use the mouse right key to see more selection options.
