Listed below are the programs which are funded under the Nation Building Program. Additional funding assistance is also offered for local roads.

The Australian Government's Nation Building Program also provides funds to State, Territory and local governments for road, rail and intermodal projects not situated on the National Network.

The objective of the Program is to deliver more efficient motorways through the application of smart infrastructure technologies to improve real-time management of major motorways.
